It warms up the heart of dog lovers everywhere to be able to assist abandoned sanctuary dogs. Around the country, the need to help these pets find permanently homes is huge and challenging.

It’s remarkable when a new idea comes around that brings attention to the cause of the lonely dogs that just want a family to call their very own.

The cross nation team at Saint Joseph High School in California handled to come up with a special way to draw attention to the dogs requiring homes, as well as providing some additional unique love and attention.

The children took over a lots dogs from the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter on a short run. The dogs and children seemed to have the time of their lives.

” I am not sure who was much more excited and having the most fun … the canines or the kids,” coach Luis Escobar said. “Regardless, it was a good time and I am sure we will do it again at some point soon.”

The kids and dogs appeared very pleased at the end of their run. One special dog called Fred got carried to the end when he was too tired to finish.
