Abandoned puppy rescued on active Kansas highway
An abandoned puppy has a brand-new home after being saved on the highway near Wamego on Saturday.
Coleman Electric workers were traveling to Manhattan when they saw a puppy in the back of a car hauler. Matt Mcmillan and Steve McLean functioned to flag down the double-decker car hauler with assistance from drivers. When they obtained the vehicle to stop, they rescued the puppy.
After the rescue, Mcmillan took the puppy to their job site and looked after her. The puppy, currently called Karmel, is a 4-month-old retriever lab mix.
” Once we found her, she’s the sweetest canine, so she just lays there by your feet,” Mcmillan said. “The previous 2 days she pretty much simply slept, so I think she needed to catch up and get some strength back.”

Mcmillan, that had lately lost a canine of his own, understood he can not live without her.
On Tuesday, Mcmillan took the puppy to be scanned for a chip. When they connected to the initial proprietors, they said they did not desire her back. The puppy was initially adopted from a Manhattan shelter.
