Meet 1-year-old sisters Cardamom and Mélange, two incredibly sweet and distinctive kitties who find themselves in the unfortunate position of needing a home. While they would much prefer a loving family that would welcome them both, the Southern Arizona Cat Rescue, which happens to be fostering them in the meantime, says it’s preferable but not imperative.\
This is what they have to say about these bonded beauties:
Cardamom
This beautiful girl is very sweet and a real purr bug. She loves getting pets, which starts her purr motor right up. She’s more mellow and independent, not needy with her humans. She’s a bit tentative with new things, but with time can adapt well! She loves wand toys and is learning what fun other toys can be. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle with her sister Mélange.
Cardamom lived with other cats and did very well. She can adapt to respectful dogs and kids with proper introductions. She has a very sweet bond with Mélange, and they would LOVE to be adopted together, however, it is not required.
Cardamom is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Mélange
This gorgeous girl looks a bit more calico than tortie with her white socks and chest blaze but, just like her sibling, she is super sweet and loves getting pets when given — which also starts up a STRONG purr reaction, just like her sister. Like Cardamom, she’s mellow and independent and will seek affection at times but never in a desperate, clingy fashion. It’s just not their style.
New things can make her a tad tentative initially, but she gets comfortable pretty quickly. Melange is currently learning what toys are, but her favorite thing to do is cuddle with her sis.
Mélange has also lived with other cats and done very well with them, so there’s no reason to believe that she couldn’t adjust to respectful kids and dogs with proper introductions.
Mélange is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Neither she nor her sister has any special needs, and they’re both house-trained.
