Steve Greig, an accountant residing in Colorado, shares his home with a diverse family of animals including 10 senior dogs, two cats, a pig named Bikini, two ducks, two pigeons, two chickens, and a rabbit. His deep love for these creatures is evident as he devotes a significant amount of his time to caring for elderly dogs who often struggle to find permanent homes due to their age.

Recalling his upbringing surrounded by animals, Corey shared, “My parents, who shared my love for pets, always supported me as long as I took care of them.”

Initially having three or four dogs in his household, Steve’s commitment to animal welfare grew after the passing of one of his beloved dogs, prompting him to extend his care to more animals in need.

Devastated by the loss of his companion, Steve decided to adopt a dog from a local shelter. This act of kindness led him to bring home a 12-year-old Chihuahua named Eeyore, who had health issues but found a loving home with Steve.

Steve currently provides a nurturing environment for ten dogs, with eight of them under his care, while the remaining two belong to his sister and a roommate. His dedication is evident as he wakes up at 5 a.m. daily to prepare breakfast tailored to each dog’s individual dietary needs.

Share this heartwarming story with your loved ones to spread awareness of Steve Greig’s inspiring mission to provide a loving home for elderly dogs in need.
